facebooktwitterreddit

It might be tricky to have a good Monday, but we do what we can to help out - fancy blowing away some of the cobwebs with a nice rumours roundup?

We've got potentially huge news from Old Trafford, a sneaky-good grab from incoming Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, and an update on John Stones' situation. All that and more, coming right up...

West Brom Want Massive Swoop for Liverpool Striker

Tony Pulis has never been scared to spend money, and the Baggies boss looks set to try to bring one of his biggest names yet to the Hawthorns as he chases Liverpool flop Christian Benteke.

The Daily Star report that the Reds could be willing to sell after Benteke fell behind Daniel Sturridge, Divock Origi and Roberto Firmino in the pecking order up front at Anfield.

Watford Eye Ex-Marseille Man

With Quique Sanchez Flores' place at the helm of Watford looking increasingly shaky, the Metro report that former Marseille manager and all-round combustible personality Marcelo Bielsa is being linked with the role.

Bielsa has garnered a reputation as a brilliant and flamboyant tactical mind, but has failed to win any significant silverware in his career - despite Pep Guardiola once describing him as the 'best manager in the world'.

Swansea Ready to Offload £5m Striker

Reports in France claim that Lille are keen to keep hold of Swansea City flop Eder at the end of his current loan deal, after he put up five goals and three assists in his first nine appearances with the Ligue 1 club. He failed to score for Swansea this season.

According to L'Equipe, the higher Lille can finish in the league, the more chance they'll have of being able to fund a move for the Portuguese forward, who moved to south Wales for £5m in the summer.

Newcastle Take Serbian Prospect on Trial

According to reports from the Netherlands, Newcastle have taken Filip Dmitrovic on trial as they weigh up a move for the Serbia Under-20 international.

PSV Eindhoven also took the young goalkeeper for a tryout recently, with Dmitrovic looking at a bright future despite his current lowly status playing for SK Austria Klagenfurt in the Austrian second division.

Palace Want £3m Wolves Defender

Alan Pardew is said to have his sights set on a move for young Wolves defender Dominic Iorfa as he looks to add depth to his Crystal Palace squad ahead of a push for the Premier League's top half next season.

Palace's Premier League form has fallen away badly since the new year, but that hasn't prevented them from reaching next month's FA Cup final - a base on which the £3m-rated 20-year-old would hope to build on.

Everton Could Lose Star After Manchester City Interest Revealed

Things at Goodison Park look to be going from bad to worse - between poor league form, Saturday's FA Cup exit and claims from the Daily Star that defender John Stones wants to join up with Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.

Stones is said to be 'the type of footballing centre-back that Guardiola admires', and could be set to make the switch to the Etihad after the summer's Euro 2016 tournament.

Leicester Chasing Manchester United Star

Manchester United's Brazilian midfielder Andreas Pereira is reportedly a top target for Leicester City this coming summer, as the Foxes look to build a deeper squad for a Champions League campaign.

The 20-year-old Brazilian is said to be frustrated with a lack of first-team playing time at Old Trafford, with the Daily Star claiming that Claudio Ranieri and co are ready to swoop in.

West Ham Ready to Swoop for Arsenal Target

The Mirror carry reports that West Ham are stepping up their hunt for a new frontman to lead the line at the Olympic Stadium next season, with Arsenal target Nolito said to be in Slaven Bilic's sights.

The Spanish striker is said to be valued at around £18m, but has no shortage of suitors with clubs around Europe - particularly in England and Spain - said to be interested in the Celta Vigo man.

Michy Batshuayi Would Favour Spurs Move This Summer

Marseille forward Michy Batshuayi would prefer to move to White Hart Lane and join up with Spurs rather than go to the Olympic Stadium with West Ham, according to reports in the Evening Standard

Juventus are also said to be interested in a move for the £25m-rated Belgian, who has been a long-time target of the north London club despite his relatively tender age of 22.

Spurs are also said to be leading the race for another Ligue 1 star - Alexandre Lacazette, beating off interest from Manchester United and Liverpool for the Lyon man

Chelsea Set for Shock Move for Manchester City Striker

Antonio Conte will replace Guus Hiddink at Stamford Bridge this summer, and is already said to have something of a shake-up planned for Chelsea's largely misfiring forward line - Diego Costa excepted.

The Daily Star report that Conte is a big fan of Manchester City's Stevan Jovetic, who is set to move to Inter in the summer thanks to a contractual obligation despite the Italian club not being too keen on the idea of keeping him.

The 26-year-old has spent the season on loan at the Serie A club, but they are said to be looking for a buyer for the Montenegro skipper before he even arrives permanently at the club.

Meanwhile, Eden Hazard looks set to stay put at Stamford Bridge this summer

Liverpool Set to Discover Fee for Highly-Rated Forward

It's been nearly a year since Danny Ings joined Liverpool from Burnley, but the two teams have still yet to agree on a fee for the 23-year-old.

Burnley are due compensation for the player's development, as his contract expired when he was under 24 years old, but there was a large gap between the £10m Burnley were demanding and the £6m offered by the Reds.

The Guardian report that a tribunal will convene on Tuesday to settle the matter for good - with Burnley demanding the biggest ever fee for a case of this kind.

Arsenal Racing to Sign 'Next Zlatan Ibrahimovic'

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been described as 'the one that got away' for Arsenal in the past, and the Gunners are keen not to let Dusan Vlahovic - described in some parts as the 'next Zlatan' - slip through their fingers.

The Mirror report that the 16-year-old should be available for around £2m, and has made a handful of appearances for Partizan Belgrade's first team this season despite his tender age. Juventus are also said to have shown an interest in him.

Jose Mourinho Set to Be Handed £300m War Chest by United

Yes, we're back in the 'Mourinho IS going to sign for United' stage of the cycle against - the Daily Star claiming that the ex-Chelsea boss will be announced within a fortnight and handed an incredible £300m transfer budget as United chiefs look to get the club back to the very top of European football.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic's name is dropped as a possible signing - although it's probably worth pointing out that the exact same newspaper ran a second 'exclusive' within a day, claiming that Mourinho's signing was far from complete and might not happen at all. So. Y'know.
