Victor Valdes' Manchester United nightmare has hit a new low according to Goal, after it was revealed Louis van Gaal has threatened to fine the player if he arrives at the club's training base before the first team players have left.

The former Barcelona man fell out with Van Gaal at the end of last season after reportedly rejecting the option to play for the club's Under-21 side, though Valdes would later deny the reports on social media. Regardless, Valdes was relegated out of the first team and has been away from the squad since the incident occurred.

At no point has there been an attempt to resolve the matter from the Dutch coach, and instead it appears he's ready to sell Valdes after initially giving him the chance to get back to fitness.

Valdes suffered a long-term injury at Barcelona during the final year of his contract and he was released from his deal in 2014. After spending time recuperating from the problem Van Gaal initially offered the Spaniard a chance to train with United in order to get his sharpness back, before he then offered a deal for Valdes to act as David de Gea's understudy.

However, since the fall out, Valdes has been banished from the first team and the latest reports suggest that Van Gaal is so desperate to keep him out of touch with the United squad that he will issue a fine to the goalkeeper if he is at the training ground at the same time as the first team.

He has now been warned to stay away from the Aon Training Complex when the first team squad are present, and surely this has to be the final straw before the goalkeeper exits Old Trafford in January. The likes of Newcastle and Liverpool have been linked with a move for the player.
